Job Description

The Quality Inspector performs detailed inspections on finished duct bank units to ensure they meet all specifications and quality standards. This role involves reading blueprints, taking precise measurements, documenting inspection results, and supporting lab testing when needed, while helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough quality checks on finished duct bank units to ensure they meet all required specifications and standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints to compare the finished product against design specifications and identify any deviations.
• Use a tape measure to take accurate measurements and verify dimensions of completed builds.
• Sign off on completed builds after confirming they meet quality and specification requirements.
• Manage inspection workload across multiple bays and prioritize tasks to support production flow.
• Report issues, defects, and nonconformances to management promptly and clearly.
• Complete inspection reports and documentation accurately and on time.
• Perform additional testing in the lab as needed to validate product quality.
• Assist in maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas within the manufacturing facility.
• Follow and promote all safety procedures and guidelines while working on the production floor.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail when inspecting products and recording results.
• Organizational skills to manage time and workload across multiple bays.
• Basic quality inspection skills and the ability to identify nonconformances.
• Comfort working in a manufacturing environment with concrete products.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Massillon, OH.

The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $52000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
