Quality Inspector – 2nd Shift

Location: Olive Branch, MS 38654
Pay Rate: $19.50–$21.00/hr + $1.50/hr shift premium
Total Pay: $21.00–$22.50/hr, paid weekly
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
Training: Must be available for one week of training from 10:00 AM–6:30 PM

Overview

The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet engineering and quality standards. This position uses precision measuring equipment, blueprints, and quality documentation to identify defects, investigate non-conformances, and support continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products before shipment
• Perform dimensional and mechanical inspections using precision measuring equipment
• Verify parts against engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Use tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, bore gauges, height gauges, angle protractors, and optical comparators
• Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation
• Identify and document non-conforming materials or parts
• Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions
• Support internal quality audits and vendor material inspections
• Maintain quality records in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements
• Work with production and quality teams to improve processes and reduce defects

Requirements

• 1–3 years of quality control, quality inspection, or manufacturing inspection experience
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Hands-on experience using precision measuring and inspection tools
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
• Working knowledge of GD&T strongly preferred
• Experience documenting non-conformances and assisting with root cause analysis
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 quality standards preferred
• Experience using ERP systems, databases, or other electronic quality records systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of tooling, hydraulics, electrical utilities, or substation equipment is highly preferred
