Job Title: Quality Inspector (FAA Repair Station)

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate $25-28 (based on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to support aerospace manufacturing and repair operations. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring all components and finished assemblies meet engineering drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
This position is designed to quickly transition into an FAA Repair Station Inspector role. Candidates should have hands-on experience in aerospace inspection, quality assurance, and compliance, with the ability to meet FAA requirements, including 18 months of practical experience in inspection methods, materials, tools, and maintenance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components and assemblies
· Review test records and documentation for compliance with Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP)
· Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications, including GD&T (preferred)
· Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) to validate manufacturing processes
· Utilize inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision equipment
· Perform solder inspection per IPC-A-610 standards
· Identify and document nonconforming material, and support MRB (Material Review Board) processes
· Review raw material certifications, including chemical and physical properties
· Prepare inspection documentation and source inspection packages for customer and regulatory audits
· Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, aerospace quality standards, and internal procedures
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, inspection methods, and production processes
Skills/Qualifications:
· Minimum 6–18 months of hands-on quality inspection experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or related field
· Working knowledge of inspection methods, tools, materials, and maintenance practices
· Ability to qualify for FAA Repair Station Inspector requirements (18 months practical experience preferred or in progress)
· Experience with blueprint reading and specifications (GD&T a plus)
· Familiarity with FAI, MRB, and nonconformance reporting
· Experience using ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint (preferred)
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environment
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· High School Diploma or equivalent required
· US Citizen or Green Card Holder required
