Job Details
What You’ll Do
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections on raw materials, in-process parts, and finished components using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, optical comparators, and related precision instruments
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications per ASME Y14.5 GD&T requirements
- Verify product conformity to AS9100, ISO, customer, and regulatory quality standards
- Complete inspection records, traceability documentation, range forms, and FAIRs
- Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and AS9102 documentation activities
- Identify and document nonconforming conditions; collaborate with Production and Engineering on containment and corrective action
- Participate in root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support audits, customer visits, and quality system compliance activities
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior inspectors as needed
What You Bring
- Quality inspection experience in aerospace, precision machining, or manufacturing
- Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints with GD&T proficiency
- Working knowledge of AS9100
- Experience with a range of inspection devices including height gauges, surface plates, bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Experience in dimensional inspection, receiving inspection, visual inspection, and/or first article
