Quality Inspector

Join our team as a Quality Inspector and play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. In this position, you will inspect materials, components, and finished products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform First Piece, Incoming, In-Process, and Final Inspections as required.
• Follow router instructions and quality procedures throughout the inspection process.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer quality requirements, procedures, and specifications.
• Prepare and maintain First Article Inspection (FAI) packages.
• Develop and support quality inspection plans.
• Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action activities using 8D methodology.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years of Quality Assurance or Quality Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with First Article Inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections.
• Familiarity with ISO quality standards and quality management systems.
• Knowledge of corrective action processes and root cause analysis methodologies.

• Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, specifications, work instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prepare reports and communicate effectively with employees, customers, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong mathematical aptitude, including the ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, geometry, and trigonometry in practical situations.
• Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a structured manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand, walk, sit, reach, and use hands to handle materials and inspection equipment.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required.

Vision Requirements

• Ability to meet visual acuity requirements necessary for inspection activities.
• Must be able to distinguish and differentiate colors used in inspection and quality processes.
• Color perception testing is required.
• Equivalent vision certifications from a licensed optometrist or ophthalmologist may be accepted.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical equipment.
• Occasional exposure to fumes and airborne particles.
• Moderate noise levels typical of manufacturing and production facilities.
