We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Evening Shift Inspector to join our commercial cleaning team. In this leadership role, you will oversee a team of cleaners during the evening shift, ensure high-quality cleaning standards are met across client facilities, and provide hands-on coaching to help team members improve their performance. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently in the evenings and takes pride in delivering excellent results.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure it meets company and client quality standards
- Provide constructive feedback and one-on-one coaching to employees to improve cleaning techniques, efficiency, and attention to detail
- Identify performance gaps and implement improvement plans for team members
- Ensure all assigned facilities are cleaned thoroughly, safely, and according to scope of work
- Train new employees on proper cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and use of equipment
- Address any client concerns or issues that arise during the evening shift
- Complete daily shift reports, inspection checklists, and time-tracking documentation
- Enforce company policies, safety guidelines, and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or facilities maintenance preferred
- At least 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience (coaching or training others)
- Strong attention to detail and high personal standards for cleanliness
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- Ability to work independently during evening hours with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation and a flexible, can-do attitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Must pass a background check
