Job Title: Quality InspectorJob Description

As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and quality of our assembly processes. You will conduct thorough audits, reinforce best practices, and oversee product release processes to maintain high standards of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assembly line audits to verify proper equipment set-ups, availability of calibrated tools, and adherence to approved work instructions.
  • Reinforce Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDP) to production personnel.
  • Review production records for completeness, accuracy, and legibility, ensuring all records are archived according to Quality System requirements.
  • Execute product releases, including final inspections, sign-offs, and system transactions to authorize shipment of conforming assemblies.
  • Evaluate nonconforming material, coordinate disposition activities, and document investigations and dispositions per Quality System requirements.
  • Participate in assembly line validations by collecting objective evidence and documenting results for approval.
  • Maintain operator training records and ensure personnel are qualified before performing assembly tasks.
  • Issue quality alerts to production personnel for complaints and nonconformances to prevent recurrence.
  • Document process deviations and in-process changes for applicable approvals.
  • Provide information on work instruction and process gaps for continuous improvement.
  • Support the evaluation and documentation of rework for assemblies, including product returns, per Quality System requirements.

Essential Skills

  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in device assembly.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading.
  • Skilled in the use of measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) and nonconformance management.
  • Intermediate-level Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices and production record review.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Broad understanding of materials, manufacturing technologies, and processes is preferred.
  • Proficiency with electronic ERP systems and inspection management systems is preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment is very clean and organized, with a cubicle on the floor close to the workstation. The position operates on a 2nd shift schedule from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, with a $1/hr shift differential. This is a great place to work, offering good room for growth, opportunities to learn new skills, and a transition towards more electro-mechanical processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
