A PCB, Final Visual Inspector is a quality control role that ensures fully manufactured circuit boards are free of defects before they ship to customers. Inspectors examine the boards under a microscope at high magnification to ensure all features meet our customers' requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Visual Inspection: Examine bare boards under magnification (microscopes) for workmanship defects.
Defect Detection: Check for missing solder mask, features meet spec. board meets FFF.
Coating and Surface Checks: Inspect the board for scratches, warpage, pitting, and proper application of protective coatings.
Quality Documentation: Record inspection results, maintain accurate quality logs, and complete lot acceptance sheets.
Non-Conformance Management: Tag and report defective materials or parts that fail to meet industry and customer standards.
Collaboration: Work with production and engineering teams to address repeat defects and improve manufacturing yields.
