Job Title: Quality Manager
Location: Hartville, OH

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) while ensuring products and manufacturing processes meet customer, regulatory, and industry quality standards. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives, oversee quality assurance activities, manage audits, and lead a team focused on delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, or other applicable standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Manage Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams to ensure product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Monitor key quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Investigate customer complaints, nonconforming materials, and quality issues using Root Cause Analysis, 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, and CAPA methodologies.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations to improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
  • Oversee supplier quality performance, supplier audits, and corrective action processes.
  • Review engineering changes, process validations, and new product introductions to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
  • Develop quality reports, KPIs, dashboards, and management reviews.
  • Train employees on quality standards, procedures, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Lead risk assessments including PFMEA and Control Plans.
  • Manage calibration programs, inspection processes, and testing activities.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Quality, or related field.
  • 5 10+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, or IATF 16949 (depending on industry).
  • Experience leading internal and external audits.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency with Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, and Statistical Process Control.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Manager (CQM), or Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, etc.).
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, medical device, electronics, or precision manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of APQP, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
