    Quality Manager

    Location: Longview, Texas

    Compensation: $120,000–$167,000 DOE + 20% Annual Bonus + 20% Long-Term Incentive Plan

    Employment Type: Full-time


    About the Company

    HireIQ Solutions is leading the search for a Quality Manager at a US manufacturer of engineered-to-order HVAC and thermal management systems serving mission-critical and commercial/industrial environments. The company designs and manufactures highly customized equipment and continues to invest in quality systems, operational excellence, and cross-functional execution across its manufacturing footprint.


    About the Role

    This role leads and advances the organization's quality management programs so products consistently meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and company standards. The Quality Manager owns the quality management system, drives continuous improvement, and leads problem solving, corrective action, and compliance activity across manufacturing operations. This leader partners closely with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and customer-facing teams to reduce defects, strengthen quality controls, and build a culture of quality and accountability throughout the organization.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide leadership and strategic direction for quality assurance and quality control activities across manufacturing operations.

    • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems, policies, and procedures that meet internal standards and customer requirements.

    • Monitor quality performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and drive corrective and preventive actions to address quality concerns.

    • Lead investigations into product and process nonconformances and facilitate root cause analysis.

    • Manage quality audits, inspections, and compliance activities, including internal and external audits against applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.

    • Coordinate customer and supplier quality activities, including corrective action and issue resolution.

    • Analyze quality data and performance trends to identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.

    • Develop and maintain quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions.

    • Establish quality objectives, track key performance indicators, and prepare reports for leadership review.

    • Collaborate with engineering, production, supply chain, and customer-facing teams to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.

    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, quality awareness, and operational excellence throughout the organization.

    • Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate the performance of direct reports.


    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • 5+ years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment, including 2+ years of leadership experience.

    • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, auditing practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.

    • Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action processes.

    • Knowledge of industry quality standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance principles.

    • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.

    • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    • Proficiency with standard business and quality management tools and systems.

    • Master's degree in a related discipline is preferred.

    • Professional certifications in quality management, continuous improvement, or quality systems are preferred.

    • HVAC manufacturing experience is preferred.


    Work Environment & Physical Requirements

    • This role operates in both office and manufacturing environments.

    • Regular exposure to production areas with moving mechanical parts and varying noise levels.

    • May be exposed to temperature variations, dust, and other conditions commonly found in manufacturing facilities.

    • Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout manufacturing and office environments.

    • Occasional lifting and carrying of materials weighing up to 25 lbs.

    • Visual acuity sufficient to inspect products, processes, and documentation.

    • Ability to review, analyze, and interpret technical information, reports, and quality data.

    • Ability to use computers, office equipment, and other technology for extended periods.

    • Required use of personal protective equipment and adherence to all applicable safety policies and procedures.

    • Occasional travel between company locations or customer and supplier sites may be required.
