About the Role: M&S Machine & Tool Co., Inc. is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Quality Manager to join our team in West Haven, CT. Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with AS9100 industry standards
Lead internal audits, inspections, and corrective action processes (CAPA) to drive continuous improvement
Oversee first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final product quality checks
Collaborate with engineering, production, and operations teams to resolve quality issues and reduce defects
Manage customer quality complaints.
Monitor and analyze quality metrics, KPIs, and reporting to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Ensure compliance with customer specifications, drawings, and applicable regulatory requirements
Train and mentor shop floor personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices
Requirements:
5+ years of quality management experience in a machining, manufacturing, ideally in a precision parts environment
Strong knowledge of QMS standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949
Proficiency with GD&T, CMM inspection, and metrology tools
Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes
Familiarity with customer quality requirements and first article inspection (FAI) documentation
Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic shop environment
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field preferred; CQE or CQM certification a plus
