We are looking for someone who shares our passion for serving seniors and understands the important role activities play in enhancing quality of life.The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, self-motivated, creative, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in senior living or activity coordination is a plus, but a genuine passion for caring for seniors is essential!Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and lead engaging, enjoyable activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being.Develop and maintain monthly activity calendars.Organize personalized and group activities based on residents' interests, abilities, and needs.Plan and coordinate activities both within the home and in the local community.Coordinate outside entertainers, vendors, and other activity-related services.Assist with planning and hosting special events, celebrations, and holiday activities.Manage activity-related petty cash responsibly.Create a welcoming, positive, and inclusive environment where residents feel comfortable participating and connecting with others.Collaborate with team members to support residents' individual needs and overall quality of life.Qualifications and RequirementsA positive attitude and a compassionate, sincere desire to serve seniors.Friendly, outgoing, and approachable personality.Dependable, punctual, trustworthy, and responsible.Ability to follow directions, adhere to policies and procedures, and take initiative when needed.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check.Ability to pass a post-offer drug screening.Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.Must be at least 18 years of age.Previous experience in activities, recreation, senior living, or a related field is preferred but not required.Why Join The Cottages?At The Cottages, you have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors every day.
