Quality Resident Engineer - 1st Shift

About the role


Main purpose of this job is to assist customer at MOBIS facility to perform day-to-day reworks on Electrical Wiring Harnesses giving priority to KL responsible issues and negotiating-disputing issues that are categorized as ISD – In System Damage at GA – General Assembly.


Coordinating support for customer in terms of collecting connectors, protectors and additional components at KL warehouse to give better assistance in timely manner at MOBIS customer and , when requested, to others PIA’s – Parts In Assembly (Glovis, Hannon, PHA, Hilex…) 


 


Responsibilities


·       Ensuring that assistance and support is being provided to prevent major issues such as downtime at GA, vehicles being kicked out or any other inconvenience to customer. 
·       Walking the process specially EOL – End Of Line – Testing work stations to ensure no KL defects are affecting MOBIS KPIs and others Metrix. 
·       Disputing respectfully with MOBIS customer when NON-KL Issues are being charged to KL. Providing evidence in timely manner and documenting pictures, files, reports that will support at the end of the month when invoices are reviewed and assigned responsibility. 
·       Working with management to improve or provide feedback regarding quality control processes or procedures at Manufacturing plants thru CCRs, Daily Logs, Group chats. 
·       Participating in regular staff meetings to discuss quality issues and concerns with customers.
·       Serving as a liaison between management, other departments and Customer Contact Point. 
·       Monitoring the progress of sorting activities at Customer Facility.
·       Following procedures and instructions at OEM such as PPE (Protective Personal Equipment) same as KL Employee Handbook.


Essential Skills


·       Industrial or mechanical Engineer
·       Negotiation, public speaking, and good interpersonal relationships skills
·       Proficient in excel and power point. 
 


Preferred Skills


·       Experience in Manufacturing Plants. 
·       Knowledge on Electrical Wiring Harnesses construction.
·       Experiencing managing teams groups of at least 5 members.
