Quality Systems Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the VP of Quality with accountability to the VP of Manufacturing Operations, the Quality Systems Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the company''s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with aerospace and manufacturing industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations. This role provides leadership for all quality system processes, including AS9100 and IATF compliance, internal auditing, corrective and preventive actions, document control, risk management, supplier quality, and customer quality support.
The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in aerospace manufacturing, precision machining, and quality system management, with a focus on driving operational excellence, product quality, and customer satisfaction.

Quality Management System Leadership
Maintain and improve the Quality Management System in accordance with:
AS9100
ISO 9001
IATF
AS17026
NADCAP
Customer-specific aerospace requirements
Applicable FAA and regulatory requirements
Manage quality system documentation, procedures, work instructions, and records.
Ensure ongoing compliance through audits, management reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead preparation for and support external certification audits and customer audits.
Internal Audit Management
Corrective and Preventive Action
Lead root cause investigations using structured methodologies such as:
8D
5-Why
Fishbone Analysis
PFMEA
Manage corrective action requests from customers, suppliers, and internal sources.
Verify effectiveness of implemented actions and monitor recurring issues.
Customer and Regulatory Compliance
Supplier Quality Management
Continuous Improvement
Quality Metrics and Reporting
Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including:
Internal scrap and rework rates
Customer returns
Supplier quality metrics
Corrective action closure performance
On-time audit completion
Cost of poor quality
Prepare and present quality performance reports to management.
