Our Quick Coupling Division is looking for a Quality Technician II to help keep the world moving. The Quality Technician II supports manufacturing quality by performing inspections, analyzing non-conforming product, maintaining metrology and calibration systems, and supporting structured problem-solving activities. This role uses quality systems, statistical tools, inspection methods, and technical judgment to help improve safety, quality, customer service, delivery, and profitability. The Quality Technician II works closely with production, engineering, quality, and customer-facing teams to ensure products meet Parker standards, customer requirements, and applicable quality system expectations.

Parker's Quick Coupling Division is the largest manufacturer of quick couplings in the world. A quick coupling is used to provide a fast, make-or-break connection of fluid or gas transfer lines. Our plants provide critical equipment for many different industries including Agriculture, Construction, and Data Processing.

• Inspect and analyze in-process and finished components to verify compliance with company standards, customer specifications, and routing requirements.
• Identify quality concerns such as burrs, cracks, scratches, dimensional issues, and other non-conformances.
• Reject, route, and document defective or questionable parts according to established procedures.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities for non-conforming product.
• Monitor disposition, rework, part flow, and the effectiveness of quality improvements.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including receiving records, database updates, first article quality reports, and Initial Sample Inspection Reports.
• Develop inspection plans based on PPAP Control Plans.
• Use QCD and mainframe systems, including QQ1A, QQ2A, QQ4A, and QQ5A, for inspection records, receiving activity, and non-conformance tracking.
• Perform cleanliness testing and particle counting as required.
• Apply quality and statistical concepts including Cpk, Cp, Mean, UCL, and LCL.
• Set up SPC gages and maintain SPC software.
• Support metrology activities, including gage calibration, calibration scheduling, traceability, documentation, and communication of findings.
• Visually inspect returned gages and route them for accuracy verification as needed.
• Escalate questionable gages or measurement concerns to Quality Management.
• Support customer documentation and quality responses, including RGA and CAPA activities.
• Communicate with internal teams and customers by phone, email, and in person as needed.
• Participate in MSA, capability studies, structured problem solving, non-conforming product reviews, corrective action reviews, return goods analysis, and internal audits.
• Support compliance with ISO 9001:2015 quality system requirements.

Physical Requirements:

• Continuously lifting and moving very light weight material (1-5 lbs).
• Frequently lifting and moving average weight material (5-50 lbs).
• Occasional lifting and moving heavy weight material up to (50 lbs. +) with assistance.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Significant trades, technical, mechanical, or manufacturing experience.
• Experience or training in quality department activities, especially machining techniques, tooling, and metrology methods.
• Ability to read and interpret GD&T machining drawings, specifications, shop mathematics, handbook formulas, and precision measurement data.
• Strong structured problem-solving skills in a High-Performance Team environment.
• Proficient computer skills, including use of quality-related systems, databases, and mainframe programs.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to use mainframe and network data sources effectively.
• Good judgment when following instructions, procedures, methods, and standard practices.
• Proficient math skills, including metric measurement and inch-to-metric conversions.
• Ability to work independently in lab environments and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to complete required quality-related training.

Pay:

• Starting Hourly Wage - $30.71
• Shift Pay - $2.00

Work Schedule:

• Five (5) - 8-hour days
