Our Quick Coupling Division is looking for new Quality Tech to help keep the world moving. This position supports manufacturing quality by maintaining calibration systems, performing inspections, verifying product conformance, and supporting problem-solving activities. This role is responsible for calibrating and managing gages and precision measuring equipment, completing required inspection documentation, assisting with nonconforming material review, and supporting continuous improvement, audit, and training initiatives. The position requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, cost-conscious decision-making, and the ability to work professionally with Quality, Operations, and other cross-functional teams.

Parker's Quick Coupling Division is the largest manufacturer of quick couplings in the world. A quick coupling is used to provide a fast, make-or-break connection of fluid or gas transfer lines. Our plants provide critical equipment for many different industries including Agriculture, Construction, and Data Processing.

  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
  • Maintain the gage calibration schedule, database, and storage areas.
  • Calibrate gages and precision measuring devices.
  • Inspect returned gages for condition and accuracy concerns; escalate questionable gages to Quality Management.
  • Notify Quality Management when supplies are low or at reorder points.
  • Assist with locating lost, misplaced, or misdirected gages.
  • Inspect in-process, finished, and received components to verify conformance to company standards and specifications.
  • Identify and reject parts with defects such as burrs, cracks, scratches, or other quality concerns.
  • Complete required inspection, receiving, and First Article/ISIR documentation.
  • Set up and interpret SPC gaging as required.
  • Support nonconforming material disposition and related documentation.
  • Assist in developing inspection plans.
  • Participate in MSA, capability studies, and other measurement system activities.
  • Support problem-solving activities, including corrective actions, nonconforming product reviews, RGA reviews, and PFMEA documentation.
  • Make cost-conscious decisions while maintaining quality requirements.
  • Assist with internal audits for ISO, QS9000, and related quality systems.
  • Support plant training initiatives and train employees on gage usage, inspection methods, and measurement techniques.
  • Lead or support problem-solving teams as needed.
  • Program and operate advanced measurement equipment, including CMM and Keyence optical measurement systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Continuously lifting and moving very light weight material (1-5 lbs.)
  • Frequently lifting and moving light weight material (5-25 lbs.)
  • Occasionally lifting and moving average weight material (25-50 lbs.)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge equivalent to 1-3 years of trades training in a specialized field or process.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, blueprints, formulas, and advanced shop mathematics.
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments and quality-related PC programs.
  • Successful completion of Basic Shop class required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Inspector experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment while making sound quality-related decisions.
  • Experience with problem solving, PFMEA, advanced gaging equipment, and training others on inspection methods.

Pay:

  • Starting Hourly Wage - $30.71

Work Schedule:

  • Five (5) 8-hour shifts
