Ability to answer welding-related questions or know where to direct questions
Fully inspect weldments and sub-weldments
Document results of inspections, including VT reports and weld maps
Comprehend the introduction to First Article Inspection (FAIs)
Communicate welding nonconformances to Welding Supervisor, Welding Trainer, Welder Development Coordinator, Lead Weld Inspector
Maintain material certifications and inspection documentation
Label nonconforming parts
Use calibrated measuring equipment where applicable
Follow all safety procedures
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required
Good verbal and written communication skills is required
Minimum Requirements of Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
Must be a US citizen.
Education:
GED/High School Diploma/Technical Degree
Experience:
1-3 Years welding - preferred
6+ Years welding inspection experience - required
3+ Years of dimensional inspection experience - required
Specialized Experience:
AWS CWI or ASNT VT Level II - required
Ability to be certified to ASNT VT Level II in-house within 30 days of hire
