Role Summary

• Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct benchtop formulations, prototype development, and analytical measurements in the lab.
  • Test new products for flavor, texture, color, nutritional content, shelf-life, and adherence to government and industry standards.
  • Support development and commercialization of new/improved products, review and evaluate ingredients, and deliver cost savings across the Condiments and Sauces unit (as well as soups and mac & cheese categories).
  • Execute feasibility assessments, costings, factory trials (requiring 10 15% travel), recipe/label development, technical approval, shelf-life assessments, and initial factory production support.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Packaging, Quality, Operations, Project Management, Marketing, and Sales to drive project objectives.
• Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Meat Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related/equivalent field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 4 years of real-world product development experience (not entry-level); internship or co-op experience in the food or consumer products industry is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong benchtop formulation capability (critical for the first 90 days); hands-on experience running lab experiments, analytical measurements, and Design of Experiments (DoE).
  • Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, critical thinking, investigation skills, and strong written/verbal communication.
  • Availability: Full availability to work onsite Monday through Friday, with 10 15% travel to factory locations.
