Job Title: Rack and Stack Technician
12+ Months Contract.
Onsite position - Clifton, NJ.
Responsibilities
Provide a dedicated onsite technician to help address Customer’s IT needs.
Verification of status lights on, servers, devices, network devices (switches, modems, servers or routers).
Verification of power connections on servers and network devices.
Installation/Verification of cables, cable connections and network devices.
Work is completed independently and candidate should have the ability to handle unique situations and trouble shoot Hardware failures as they occur.
Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux Operating System, knowledge of image deployment.
Analytical problem solving and decision making skills required
Candidate should be detail oriented & demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication
Skills to articulate technical trends and concerns
Proven ability to communicate quality concerns with peers & demonstrated conflict
Management and interpersonal communication skills
Must be able to successfully identify basic purpose of server & rack components Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. if needed.
In general, this is considered an advanced position where the resource Uses ability as a skilled specialist to contribute to the development of new concepts/techniques and to complete assignments/tasks in innovative and effective ways.
Expert knowledge on the general/technical aspects of the job. Work is completed independently and has ability to handle most unique situations.
Maintain standards of service levels at all times, ensure response with timeframe and manage all available services.
Good understanding of racking/stacking/cabling servers, network, storage devices and other tech products in DataCenter
Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
Proficiency in English. Excellent communication skills
Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or relevant field
2+ Years of relevant experience
