Responsibilities:

What you will do

• Performs radiological procedures on patients of all age groups.
• Images must be reviewed by a staff technologists prior to submission for interpretation.
• Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains competencies for all related tasks.
• Accurately follows all established imaging protocols.
• When performing exams in ICU or surgery the student tech must be accompanied by a staff technologists.
• Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
• Adhere to the Radiation Safety Policies and the principles of a viable dose reduction program.
• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.

Qualifications:

Education

• A student currently enrolled in as a 2nd year student in an accredited radiological technology program required

Work Experience

• No experience required 

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support upon hire required
