Job Description
Title: Radiation Therapist
Duration: 13 weeks
Location: 1425 Portland Ave Rochester, NY 14621
Schedule: Day Shift 5*8s 40 weeks
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM (8-hour shifts based on department needs).
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week.
Saturday: Not required.
Floating: Yes, to all other Radiation Oncology locations.
Local Candidates: Accepted if residing more than 75 miles away; lower local rate applies.
Required License/Certifications: Active NYS Radiologic Technologist Therapy License, ARRT (T), BLS.
Preferred Experience: Ethos or Varian machines.
EMR: EPIC required.
Required Skills: Adult Acute Care, tumor localization, custom molds/shields, block cutting, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, B-Mode acquisition targeting, compensation filters, portal imaging, wedges, radiation dose calculations, External Beam Therapy, IMRT, radiation safety, isolation precautions/PPE, and patient lift/transfer devices.
Candidate Requirements: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with flexibility, strong communication, adaptability, teamwork, dependability, and punctuality.
