Radiation Therapist - Honolulu, HI

A hospital in the Honolulu, Hawaii area is looking for a Radiation Therapist to join its Radiation Oncology team!

Position Highlights

• Permanent, full-time position

• Day shift — 40 hours per week

• No holiday coverage required

• Opportunity to work in an accredited Radiation Oncology program

• Advanced radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators, tomotherapy, and CT simulation

• Collaborative oncology team focused on providing quality patient care

Position Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments according to physician-prescribed treatment plans.

• Operate linear accelerators and other radiation oncology equipment safely and effectively.

• Assist with treatment preparation, patient positioning, and CT simulation procedures.

• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals.

• Monitor patients throughout treatment and ensure their comfort and safety.

• Follow established radiation safety protocols and departmental procedures.

• Maintain accurate treatment documentation and patient records.

• Provide compassionate care to patients undergoing cancer treatment.

What We're Looking For

• Current Hawaii state Radiation Therapist license required

• Current CPR certification at the healthcare professional level

• Radiation therapy experience preferred

• Strong understanding of radiation treatment procedures and patient safety

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
