Sentara is hiring an experienced Radiation Therapist II at Princess Anne Hospital, in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Shift: PRN, FLOAT

This position will provide support to our Hampton Roads Hospitals to include:

• Sentara Princess Anne Hospital

• SentaraVirginia Beach General

• Sentara Brock Cancer Center

• Sentara Norfolk General Hospital

• Sentara Obici Hospital

• Sentara Careplex Hospital

• Sentara Albemarle Medical Center

Overview

Provide radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist according to established practices and standards. Duties may include but are not limited to:• Deliver external beam radiotherapy to include (3D, IMRT, SRS/SBRT)• Deliver brachytherapy treatment• Perform patient simulations; preparing equipment, such as immobilization, treatment, and protection devices• Reviewing patient records for accuracy• Acting as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel• Maintaining patient records, reports, and files

Minimum of 3 years of experience and must meet 4 of the following criteria and have passed associated competencies to move from Radiation Therapist I:Criteria: Competencies/RequirementPediatric Center: Age based competencies EBRT/SimClinical Coordinator-RTT Students: Preceptor/clinical coord CompSRS/SBRT: General SRS/SBRT CompsSimulation Tech: General Sim Comp, IV Start CompTreatment Competencies: General EBRT CompAdvanced Imaging: Identify/Vision RT/iCBCT/Gated CBCT/4D CBCTBrachy Therapist: General Brachy CompSecond Licensure (CT, MRI, R): Proof of second licensure

Completion of an approved certification program prior to 2016 in lieu of Associates degree will also be considered.

Education

• Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology REQUIRED

Certification/Licensure

• ARRT Certification REQUIRED

Experience

• 3 years Radiation Therapy experience REQUIRED

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $44.05 - $65.34 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
