Job Description
A healthcare organization in Tampa, Florida is seeking a Radiation Therapist to support the delivery of precise radiation treatments in a fast-paced clinical setting with a focus on patient safety and compassionate care.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 40 hours per week (variable 8-hour shifts within 6:30m to 8:30pm)
- Setting: In-person clinical setting
Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments in accordance with prescribed plans and clinical documentation
- Perform treatment procedures including 3D, IMRT, and CT simulation support
- Complete linear accelerator and CT simulator warm-up procedures and related quality checks
- Monitor equipment performance, document variances, and escalate machine issues as needed
- Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain a high standard of patient care and teamwork
Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years of radiation therapy experience
- Associate's degree, or a High School Diploma / GED with ARRT certification obtained prior to January 1, 2015
- ARRT certification
- Florida state licensure as a Certified Radiation Therapy Technologist (CRT-RTT)
- BLS certification
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced oncology environment
- Familiarity with treatment documentation, machine quality assurance, and radiation oncology workflows
