Job Summary

Performs computerized tomography (CT) scans and general diagnostic radiology procedures under general supervision. Prepares patients, operates imaging equipment, administers IV contrast when required, and ensures high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety and radiation protection standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patients, review clinical information, and prepare patients for examinations.
• Operate CT equipment and perform diagnostic scans, including trauma and stroke imaging.
• Administer IV contrast using power injectors and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Prepare procedure rooms, maintain equipment, and ensure adequate supplies are available.
• Assist radiologists with complex procedures, including biopsies.
• Follow radiation safety principles and ALARA techniques.
• Verify image quality, resolve image exceptions, and ensure accurate delivery to PACS.
• Complete study indexing and documentation in RIS and electronic medical records.
• Confirm imaging protocols with radiologists as needed.
• Maintain excellent patient care, communication, teamwork, and customer service.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of CT Technologist experience
• ARRT (CT) certification required
• BLS Certification required
• Proficiency in trauma and stroke scanning
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills
• Reliable, dependable, and adaptable to changing clinical needs

Assignment Details

• Contract: 13 weeks
• Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Interview: Manager will contact the candidate directly to schedule an interview
• Work Environment: Hospital or ambulatory mobile imaging unit
