Job Summary

We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our client’s team. In this role, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily general X-ray exams, including routine and mobile imaging. You will support accurate diagnoses and high-quality patient care by producing diagnostic-quality radiographic images while adhering to radiation safety standards and best practices.

 

Job Description

  • Operate and maintain radiographic/X-ray equipment, including mobile imaging units.
  • Prepare imaging rooms and equipment; ensure all necessary supplies are available and ready.
  • Position patients accurately and compassionately; adjust exposure factors (kVp, mA, time) for optimal image quality.
  • Perform imaging studies and evaluate images for diagnostic adequacy; repeat studies as needed.
  • Adhere to radiation protection protocols to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and self.
  • Document procedures, patient information, and images accurately in the Radiology Information System (RIS), PACS, and EMR.
  • Conduct routine quality control checks and coordinate minor maintenance or supply replenishment as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, fellow technologists, and other healthcare professionals to support efficient department operations.

 

Skills Required

  • At least one (1) year of experience as General Radiographer
  • Experience in an Acute setting required

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • Completion of an appropriate training program for Radiologic Technologist
  • Current certification and registration as a Radiology Tech issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • A valid license as a radiologic technologist issued by the NYSDOH

 

Additional Requirements

  • Shift Time: 12:00 AM - 8:30 AM, alternating weekends required - Weekends/Holidays required
  • Training will be for 2 weeks, from 9a-5p, including the EPIC class

 

 Pay Rate

  • $53–$62 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
