Job Description:

• Practices infection control standards and utilizes approved personal protective equipment (PPE and disinfectant agents.
• Maintains a properly stocked, organized, and clean room.
• Completes required documentation for Radiologist support and performs clerical duties, including answering telephones, completing patient records, filing, and scheduling.
• Performs direct patient care duties within the technologists scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition and ensuring patient comfort, safety, and privacy.
• Obtains and documents patient history and explain procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately [Required]

Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment, if applicable per facility [Required]

Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals [Required]

Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry [Required]

Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment [Required]

Education:

Associate [Preferred]

Bachelor's [Preferred]

High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience:

2+ years experience [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS [Required]

Registered Technologist Radiography (RT(R (ARRT [Required]

Pay Range:

$21.82 - $40.59
