Duration: 1 year contract with the possibility of 4 more extensions
Shift Schedule: Imaging hours are Monday Friday, 08:00AM 05:00PM Pacific Time
Credentialing / Onboarding Time: 6 8 weeks
Certifications:
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography
- BLS from an AHA or ARC
Education: Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
Needs Review: Associate degree or higher is preferred.
Experience Needed: Minimum 2 years of recent experience in diagnostic radiography, ambulatory imaging, hospital imaging, or a closely related setting.
Special Skills Needed:
- EHR, RIS, and PACS documentation.
- Any modality-specific operator authorizations.
Responsibilities:
- Verify patient ID and imaging orders. Prepare, position, and educate patients, and support consent.
- Perform diagnostic radiographic studies within scope and authorizations.
- Operate equipment, complete QC and readiness checks, and report malfunctions or downtime.
- Produce diagnostic-quality images and transmit or archive to PACS.
- Document exams, repeats, and unusual events in EHR, RIS, and PACS.
- Apply ALARA, patient screening, shielding, and dosimetry and radiation safety rules.
