    Job Description

    Position Summary:

    The XRAY department is a high paced hospital environment staffed 24/7 supporting our region's only academic level 1 trauma center. Day shift position hours vary between 8,10, and 12-hour shifts. Having at least two years of experience within our XRAY department will give you the skills and training to succeed in most imaging environments. Exams performed include general XRAY, trauma imaging, Fluoroscopy, Surgery, and portables. The department utilizes various digital equipment to provide optimal imaging for our patient's needs. This position may require working 1 or 2 holidays per year and weekends to ensure the continued care of our patients. We offer a career ladder for advancement within the department as well as advanced career opportunities such as being a clinical preceptor for our students enrolled at our UTMC School of Radiography. Other objectives can lead to a transfer to other modalities within UTMC such as CT, MRI, IR, after sufficient time in the XRAY department.

    Position Qualification:

    Associates degree (A.A.) from two year college or technical school. Registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required, 6 months - 1 year experience preferred.
