Coordinates work assignments for Radiology reception as well as for diagnostic services within area as assigned. Supports reception functions by performing job duties as needed.
Required Knowledge & Skills
Education: Associate Degree or 2 years of college coursework
Experience: Two years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.

Supervision
This role supervises Radiology Clerical Associates.
Qualifications
Excellent public relations skills. Pleasant professional demeanor when dealing with the public, even irate or abusive individuals. Must possess the ability to communicate effectively and maintain good relations with co-workers, the hospital and medical staff as well as with patients, families, and third-party payers.
Three years of previous experience relevant to position (i.e. registration, scheduling, utilization review in healthcare).
Previous experience or knowledge with Diagnostic Imaging preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Relevant training or education may be considered as experience. Management and or experience in healthcare finance or revenue cycle preferred but not required.
Ability to make independent decisions, displaying emotional maturity and using sound judgment.
Ability to comprehend and apply a large variety of operating procedures.
Proven ability to act as a positive influence in a leadership role and to effectively work with others at all levels within and outside the organization.
