Position Overview
This role involves working in the Cath Lab with a daily caseload of approximately 15 patients. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a cath lab setting, specifically as an X-ray Technician. First-time applicants are not accepted. Weekend duties include on-call responsibilities every third weekend, with a 30-minute response time required. Sleep rooms are available on-site for convenience.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional angiograms
- Conduct right and left heart catheterizations
- Assist with ASD and PFO closures
- Operate equipment such as Impella, EKOS, rota-pro, and athrectomy devices
- Scrub stenting and drive the table for procedures
- Execute coronary and peripheral angiograms
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in a cath lab as an X-ray Tech
- Experience with C-Arm operations
- Scrub experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and ARRT certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
Equipment and Systems
Experience with the following is required:
- Client-specific systems and Phillips, Siemens, MedRad
- Excellian, Client Mac Lab, Q-Site, Synapse
Additional Information
- Floating to sister facilities may be required
- Block scheduling is not accommodated
- Local candidates within a 100-mile radius are not accepted
- Pending state licenses are accepted
- Requested time off ideally should not exceed 5 days
- Client reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts without penalty
