• Shift / Schedule: Weekend schedule: Saturday, Sunday & Monday 2 x 12-Hour Nights (19:00 07:00) Saturday & Sunday; 1 x 12-Hour Evening (15:00 03:00) Monday. No Weekend RTO.

Job Summary

This is a CT Tech travel/contract position in the emergency department at a high-volume facility, performed on a Siemens scanner. The unit handles routine ED patients as well as Code Stroke and trauma patients in a very fast-paced environment. On first shift, there are typically 4 5 techs; second shift (after 5 PM) typically has 2 3 techs; third shift has 1 tech; weekends have 2 techs. A typical caseload for one tech in an 8-hour shift is anywhere from 8 12 patients. Daily caseload across 4 rooms ranges from 150 200 scans. The unit operates on a weekend schedule (Saturday, Sunday & Monday) and serves a patient population spanning infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging procedures including Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/Neck, Chest, Spine, Musculoskeletal, Brain Perfusion, CTAs, and Multiplanar Reconstruction
• Operate Siemens scanner equipment (S3000 and Sequoia models); Siemens FORCE Scanner use is a must
• Support emergency department imaging needs, including Code Stroke and some trauma patients
• Manage high daily caseload of 150 200 scans across 4 rooms
• Provide imaging services across all patient age ranges: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work within Inpatient, ER, and Adult ICU settings
• Utilize EPIC and Visage unit systems

• 500-bed hospital experience required

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Very fast-paced emergency department environment
• Weekend schedule: Saturday, Sunday & Monday no weekend RTO
• 3x12-hour shifts: 2 nights (19:00 07:00) Saturday & Sunday; 1 evening (15:00 03:00) Monday
• Patient population: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Special equipment: Siemens Scanner (S3000 and Sequoia)
• Unit systems: EPIC, Visage
• Scrubs: Royal Blue (not provided by facility)
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Important Notes

• RTO (Return to Origin) after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly result in a contract cancellation and DNR (Do Not Rehire).
• No weekend RTO.
• The expected start date is based on the facility's schedule but is subject to change depending on class and trainer availability. Travelers may start on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week, and must be fully available with no other commitments to accommodate any schedule changes. Missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start.
• The facility will confirm the final start date on the Tuesday prior to the start week.
• Candidates must provide interview availability for the next 72 hours at time of submission to avoid holding up the approval process. The manager will NOT make an offer without speaking to/interviewing the candidate first.
