  • Contract Duration: 3 months
  • Pay Rate: $77.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: 12-Hour Days; 08:45 20:15; Friday, Saturday & Sunday (3 12 Hours)

Job Summary

This is a CT Tech travel/contract position located in the emergency department at a major health system facility in Charlotte, NC. The role is situated on a Siemens scanner (Force model) and involves performing routine ED patient scans, Code Stroke imaging, and some trauma patients in a very fast-paced environment. On first shift there are typically 4 5 techs; second shift (after 5 PM) there are typically 2 3 techs; third shift has 1 tech; and weekends have 2 techs. A typical caseload for one tech in an 8-hour shift is anywhere from 8 12 patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging in the emergency department setting, including routine ED patients, Code Stroke, and some trauma patients
  • Operate the Siemens scanner (Force model) use of this specific equipment is a requirement
  • Manage a daily caseload of 150 200 scans across 4 rooms
  • Perform CT procedures including: Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/Neck, Chest, Spine, Musculoskeletal, Brain Perfusion, CTAs, and Multiplanar Reconstruction
  • Provide imaging services for a patient population spanning Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
  • Utilize unit systems including EPIC and Visage
  • Adhere to the weekend schedule of Friday, Saturday & Sunday with no weekend RTO

Required Skills

  • Inpatient experience
  • ER experience
  • Adult ICU experience
  • Siemens scanner (Force model) proficiency mandatory; candidates without Siemens experience will not be considered
  • CT Procedure Experience: Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/Neck, Chest, Spine, Musculoskeletal, Brain Perfusion, CTAs, Multiplanar Reconstruction
  • Some Trauma experience
  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced emergency department environment

Important Notes

  • RTO (Return to Origin) after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly result in a contract cancellation and DNR (Do Not Rehire).
  • No Weekend RTO is permitted under any circumstances.
  • The expected start date is based on the facility's schedule but is subject to change depending on class and trainer availability. Travelers may start on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week, and must be fully available with no other commitments to accommodate any schedule changes. Missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start.
  • The facility will confirm the final start date on the Tuesday prior to the start week.
  • Manager interview required before any offer is extended. Please provide interview availability for the next 72 hours when submitting to avoid delays in the approval process.
  • Local candidates accepted; local rate differential may apply.
