What You'll Do: The Sonographer I Acute assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the ultrasound equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

li> Licensure/Certification: Registered Cardiac Sonographer, credentials RDCS or RCS (New Graduates will have 6 months to pass registry), required. The Cardiac Sonographer I is responsible for daily operations of the echo lab, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures, and quality improvement.

Licensure/Certification: NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS within 6 months of hire, required.
Core Competencies:The Cardiac Sonographer Staff will display and maintain competencies to perform all core competencies as defined by clinical location for the Echocardiography Lab, which may include transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), Strain, ultrasound enhancing agents (UEA), bubble studies, routine transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE per protocol), and TEE cardioversion. Qualifications: HS Diploma or GED with RDCSor RCS requiredor Completion of a formal training program and must obtain RDCS/RCS within 1 year of employment.

Depending on the type of Sonography performed, the following specialties apply: Abdomen Breast Fetal Echocardiography Neurosonology Obstetrics and Gynecology Adult Echocardiography Pediatric Echocardiography Vascular Technology Musculoskeletal Sonography. Licensure/Certification/Registration: ARRT and/or ARDMS certified or Board eligible Required ARDMS certified within 1st year of employment Required RDMS, RDCS, RVT, RMKS, or RPVI.

Vascular Technology - by ARRT in Vascular Sonography; RT(S)(VS) or RDMS, RT(VS) or, ARDMS in Vascular Technology; RDMS, RVT, VT or by CCI in Vascular Ultrasound; RT(S), RVS or RDMS, RVS, required. The Sonographer III assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the ultrasound equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.
