Job Description

Overview

When you come to Yale New Haven Health System, you'll work with leaders in medicine and be part of the cutting edge in your field. That includes opportunities to join our paid Residency Program and gain clinical training and didactic education through our Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging. This is a unique paid opportunity for board-certified radiologic technologists to further their careers by receiving advanced modality training and certification without any loss of income.

Two separate hybrid pathways are available: a 6-month Computed Tomography (CT) program or a 12-month Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) program.

This program is designed for both new graduates eager to launch their careers and experienced technologists looking to expand their expertise and advance into a high-demand specialty area. Participants receive structured classroom education combined with hands-on clinical training, allowing them to develop advanced imaging skills, strengthen critical thinking abilities, and enhance patient care while preparing for post-primary certification.

One of the biggest advantages of this program is that you can continue earning a competitive salary while you learn:

New graduates start at $38/hour

Experienced technologists receive credit for their years of experience and maintain their applicable pay rate while training

Full-time employee status and benefits throughout the residency

Advanced specialty training in MRI or CT at no cost to you

Upon successful completion of the residency and achievement of your post-primary certification boards, participants become eligible for a $40,000 sign-on bonus, making this an exceptional opportunity to grow your career while increasing your earning potential.

Work in our new $838M, 505,000 square foot Adams Neurosciences Center opening in 2027. The largest project of its kind in state history, the center is being designed to make it even easier for the entire clinical team to collaborate throughout each patient's continuum of care, starting with the prehospital setting, during hospitalization and through early recovery.
