Radiology Technologist
Integrated Health/Patient Care Associates, Inc. provides mobile x-ray services to nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, assisted living communities, correctional institutions, private residences and other health facilities in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
Occupational Summary:
Performs a variety of technical tasks involved in the operating of radiographic equipment and making radiographs of designated portions of the body.
Explain x-ray procedures to patients.
Position patients for each anatomical view using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
Accurately process images for optimal quality. Match with appropriate paperwork for interpretation.
Accurately identify patients and procedures to be done using PCA standards and protocol in regards to patient identification.
Demonstrate acceptable film quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors and collimation.
Understand and uses RIS/PACS systems. Adjust equipment for proper radiographic exposure technique in accordance with radiation safety guidelines.
