Radiology Technologist

The Radiologic Technologist works independently and/or assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images in the ambulatory setting.

Location Details

• Location: 1625 Hospital Drive Mount Pleasant, South Carolina 29464 
• Schedule: Full Time
• Shift: Monday - Friday 8AM until 4:30PM

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required. 
• Experience: One year experience in diagnostic radiology, required.
• Licensure/Certification: NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(R) Required NH Medical Group Office Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(R), required. 
• Additional Skills (required): Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment and accessories. Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills, capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms, working knowledge of various types of x-ray equipment, able to adapt to various situations and procedures.
• Additional Skills (preferred): NH MedicalRegistry-eligible in Radiography by ARRT. Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT Required within 6 months of hire. NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient. Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT( required. NH Medical Group Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(Required.

• Verify patient identity, medical history, allergies, and consent while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures.

• Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, operate imaging equipment, administer contrast as prescribed, and evaluate image quality.

• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation using EMR, RIS, and PACS systems.

• Explain procedures, address patient concerns, and collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver compassionate, high-quality care.

• Follow radiation safety protocols, ALARA principles, and infection control standards while maintaining required certifications and clinical competencies.
