    Description

    Seeking a part-time weekend and as needed X-ray technologist. 

    Provide portable X-Ray / EKG services to skilled nursing facilities.

    · Take high quality radiographs / EKGs 

    · Explain procedures to patient/staff and answer any questions

    · Communicate with a diverse range of patients and staff professionally and empathetically

    · Image evaluation

    · Maintain x-ray equipment and vehicle

    · Maintain patient records; adhere to HIPAA

    Adjusting equipment and calming patient to eliminate test artifacts.

    Distributing completed films into Medimatrix software system.

    Cleaning and sterilizing equipment and workspace.

    Recognizing equipment malfunctions and readjusting equipment or writing referrals for repair.

    Instructing patients in pretest preparation, answering questions, and explaining procedures.

    Maintaining equipment according to Infection Control procedure.

    Maintaining technical competency through continued education and participation in training programs.

    Under guidance and approval of site Radiologist, administering contrast agents according to site-specific protocols.

    Performing equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems.

    Making calls for service and notifying all pertinent team members.

    Following quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality.

    Performing additional duties as required.

    Excellent computer/technology skills and application ability

    Required License/Certification:

    Graduate of a 2 year A.M.A. approved School of Radiologic Technology

    Valid ARRT license, registered in Radiography
