RBHS Instructor (Faculty - Coterminous)
Description
The faculty member will direct the work of Boggs Center Employment and Transition
Team programs supported through the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities and NJ
Department of Education. The faculty member will provide supervision, conduct
community training and technical assistance, and participate in applied research in
program areas including life-course transitions from high-school through aging/end of
life, integrated employment of individuals with developmental disabilities, and
community services and supports. The faculty will assist organizations including schools,
disability service providers, and state systems to promote best practices in supporting
people with developmental disabilities and their families.
Responsibilities:

projects and NJ DOE supported Community Based Instruction (CBI) and Person-
Centered Approaches in Schools and Transition (PCAST) projects
funded through DDD and DOE.

Requirements:
A doctoral degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology or a related field.
Demonstrated teaching and in-service training experience.
Formal or informal leadership experience in a team-based setting
Knowledge of lifespan issues and best practices ranging from high-school through
aging/end of life for people with developmental disabilities.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
A doctoral degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology or a related field.
Demonstrated teaching and in-service training experience.
Formal or informal leadership experience in a team-based setting
Knowledge of lifespan issues and best practices ranging from high-school through aging/end of life for people with developmental disabilities.
Ability to represent the Center within Rutgers and other institutions of higher education and to work collaboratively with representatives from a diverse range of settings, including state and federal agencies, advocacy organizations, schools, employers, and disability service providers.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
