Accounts Receivable Manager

We're looking for an Accounts Receivable Manager to lead the team responsible for insurance and patient balances. In this role, you'll improve collections, reduce aging, and help resolve the reimbursement issues that slow payment. You'll work closely with the Director of Revenue Cycle and teams across the organization to turn AR trends into practical action.

What you'll do

• Lead daily AR operations, including team assignments, coaching, training, and performance management.

• Monitor collections and aging by payer, provider, location, and account type.

• Prioritize high-dollar and aged accounts, and guide the team through complex follow-up, appeals, and payer escalations.

• Identify denial and underpayment trends, recover missed reimbursement, and address the causes of recurring issues.

• Track AR, collection, denial, and productivity results; share findings and recommendations with leadership.

• Improve workflows and partner with Coding, Operations, Finance, Credentialing, and other teams to remove reimbursement barriers.

• Ensure account activity, adjustments, and financial transactions are accurate, documented, and compliant.

What you'll bring

• Strong experience in healthcare accounts receivable, collections, and reimbursement.

• Experience leading a team, setting goals, and helping staff grow.

• The ability to use data to identify problems, set priorities, and improve results.

• A working understanding of how billing, coding, operations, and payer processes affect collections.

• Clear communication skills and sound judgment when resolving complex account or payer issues.

A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. An associate degree with significant healthcare revenue cycle and management experience may also be considered. Relevant professional certifications are a plus.
