About the Position:

The PES Reading Tutor works collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff to provide targeted, evidence-based reading interventions for students requiring additional support. The interventionist analyzes student data, monitors progress, and delivers instruction designed to improve mathematical understanding, confidence, and achievement while supporting the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).

• Deliver targeted, evidence-based literacy instruction to students (K-2), including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension
• Maintain accurate records of student interventions, progress, and outcomes.
• Communicate student progress with teachers, administrators, and families as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Valid New Hampshire educator certification preferred
• Experience providing mathematics intervention or teaching mathematics.
• Knowledge of structured intervention programs and progress monitoring tools preferred.

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the school's MTSS framework.

What We Offer:

This is a part-time, school year position working 131 days per year. It is covered under our Pelham Education Support Personnel Association (PESPA) collective bargaining agreement. Salary, benefits and additional association benefits are in accordance with our collective bargaining agreement which can be found on our website under Department __> Human Resources.

Selection Process:

Our interview process is designed for you to learn about our District and why Pelham is a great place to work! Our selection process typically includes an initial phone interview, followed by an in-person interview with school administration and the Superintendent of Schools. The final step in the hiring process is nomination by the School Board.
