Title: Real Estate Accounting Specialist
Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000
Location: Cambridge, MA (Hybrid)
Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a growing real estate investment and management firm in Cambridge on their search for a Real Estate Accounting Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with real estate experience to take ownership of key AP and AR functions while joining a stable, collaborative team during an exciting period of portfolio growth.

- Broad exposure across property accounting, tenant billing, AP, and AR
Real Estate Accounting Specialist Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivable for multiple real estate portfolios, including tenant billing, collections, and account status reporting
- Communicate directly with tenants and property managers to resolve balances and maintain accurate account information
- Process accounts payable in Yardi, including invoices, check runs, tax payments, and utility payments
- Maintain accurate rent rolls, billing records, and property accounting data
- Support month-end accounting activities and assist with account reconciliations
- Partner with the AP Manager and accounting leadership as the company’s portfolio continues to expand
Real Estate Accounting Specialist Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of AP, AR, or property accounting experience within real estate
- Strong Yardi experience highly preferred
- Experience with tenant billing, collections, invoice processing, and property manager communication
- Real estate, property management, or commercial leasing experience required
- Self-directed, collaborative, and comfortable working within a flexible, team-oriented environment
