Real Estate Tax Partner

ABOUT THE ROLE

A growing public accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Real Estate Tax Partner to join its expanding tax practice. This leadership role will focus on providing strategic tax advisory and compliance services to real estate owners, developers, investment funds, and closely held businesses.

The position offers the opportunity to work on complex transactions, partnership structures, and tax planning initiatives while helping drive practice growth and mentoring junior professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the preparation and review of partnership, corporate, and individual tax returns for real estate clients
• Advise clients on real estate transactions, acquisitions, dispositions, and entity structuring
• Provide guidance on partnership allocations, waterfall structures, and real estate investment vehicles
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with real estate owners, operators, and investors
• Identify tax planning opportunities related to real estate investments and operations
• Mentor and develop team members while reviewing work for accuracy and quality
• Support business development initiatives and cultivate new client relationships
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide integrated advisory solutions
• Monitor changes in tax legislation impacting the real estate industry

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field
• CPA certification preferred
• Significant experience within real estate taxation
• Strong knowledge of partnership taxation and real estate structures
• Experience advising real estate funds, developers, REITs, or owner/operators preferred
• Proven client management and leadership experience
• Strong communication and business development skills

Role can be based in Long Island, NYC, or South Florida.
