Receiving and Reverse Logistics Team Lead

A day in this role

When your morning-shift team arrives, you’re on the floor—setting priorities, walking the aisles, and ensuring every inbound trailer and stack of returns moves with purpose. You’ll guide a crew of 15–17 associates split between receiving (5–7) and returns processing (about 10), all in service of our commitments to premium active lifestyle brands.

Inbound freight hits your docks, and you orchestrate a smooth flow: unloading, checking, and putting product into racking against tight deadlines. At the same time, you steer high-volume reverse logistics—triaging customer returns, determining damage, and greenlighting what can be safely repackaged for future orders.

You plan labor around forecasted loads, partner closely with internal client service teams, and keep a sharp eye on the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Outlook to coordinate the day. On the floor, you coach, cross-train, and elevate performance—always with safety front and center.

What you’ll own

• Direct daily leadership for both receiving and returns teams, ensuring clarity, pace, and support.
• End-to-end control of inbound flows: unload, verify, and put away inventory quickly and accurately into racking.
• Operational oversight of returns: sort, assess condition, and decide between damage disposition and repackaging.
• Labor planning: review upcoming shipment volumes and schedule headcount accordingly in alignment with client service partners.
• On-the-floor training: deliver coaching, feedback, and cross-training to build a versatile, multi-skilled team.
• Safety leadership: identify hazards, enforce safety standards, and model compliant behaviors across your zone.

What you bring

• 3+ years leading teams in logistics—specifically in receiving, inbound, or returns processing.
• Comfort navigating a WMS every day and managing communication and schedules in Microsoft Outlook.
• Ability to stand and walk on concrete for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and climb ladders or stairs.
• Clear verbal communication; bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus (not required).
• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s in Logistics or Supply Chain is a plus.
