The primary responsibilities of the Receiving Associate position are to maintain outstanding customer service, generate sales, merchandise product, and support the store management team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Unload trucks
- Sort products
- Stock products on shelves
- Ensure aisles are neat and area is clean
- Greet customers and answer their questions
- Aid customers in locating merchandising in store, on acehardware.com, as well as, processing special orders
- Process go-backs (stocking returned products back to shelf)
- Assist in departmental resets
- Maintain orderly appearance of register area and supplies stocked
- Use Point-of-Sale interface to lookup, identify and locate products
- Actively participate in daily huddle meetings
- Responsive of safety issues
- Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store management
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 40-60lbs pounds frequently and repeatedly to load and unload customer orders.
- Be on your feet for most of your shift (6 to 8 hours)
- Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting.
