Description
Summary Responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming shipments and ensuring that all materials and products are accurately logged and stored. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a basic understanding of inventory systems. Entry-level candidates with a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Essential duties & responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The hours for this position are Monday -Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. This position will require the employee to work overtime as needed. Overtime is scheduled based upon individual job responsibilities and the needs of the department and business.
Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
Count incoming components and parts
Record and report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies
Properly label and store items in designated areas
Communicate with team on receipt of items
Maintain accurate and timely records in the inventory management system
Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and quality control teams as needed
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, complying with safety procedures
Assist with inventory counts and cycle audits as required
Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required
Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred (but not required for entry-level)
Basic computer skills required (Microsoft Excel, email, or inventory software experience is a plus)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and teamwork skills
Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Excellent hand-eye coordination.
Proficiency in operating technical machinery and RF scanners.
Mathematical aptitude.
Good organizational skills.
Attention to detail.
Good written and verbal communication.
Bilingual Spanish communication skills required
