Receiving Clerk (warehouse)

Job Summary:

Responsible for receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials to ensure accurate quantities, proper documentation, and timely delivery to designated areas. The role involves checking shipments for damage, updating records, documenting discrepancies, and handling materials according to company safety and handling procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Receive and visually inspect incoming materials for quantity, damage, and accuracy.
• Compare packing slips and accompanying paperwork against received items and purchase records.
• Enter receipt verification information into the system.
• Document missing or damaged items and complete the required paperwork.
• Follow company procedures for handling classified and hazardous materials.
• Route packages according to inspection codes.
• Assist with internal delivery of materials using manual or powered equipment and hand tools as needed.
• Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of related receiving or material-handling experience.
• Basic knowledge of PC applications, including Oracle.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to verify shipments and maintain accurate records.
