Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping Clerk with advanced experience using SAP, particularly in the areas of shipping, warehouse operations, and inventory control. This role is crucial in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of orders and maintaining inventory integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and complete orders for shipment according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, and ship).
• Verify the accuracy of shipment orders and related documentation.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of SAP to execute shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with the shipping team to meet deadlines and maintain productivity standards.
• Assist with inventory control, including conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate placement and tracking of inventory within the warehouse.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating equipment and handling materials.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe working environment.
• Complete necessary shipping and receiving documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Report any damages, shortages, or other discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid forklift certification, with experience operating stand-up forklifts.
• Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
• Advanced proficiency in SAP (minimum 2 years in a warehouse/logistics environment).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed
• Working knowledge of shipping systems, including FedEx, UPS, DHL, or comparable carrier platforms.
