Job Description

HJG Staffing is seeking an experienced and motivated Receiving Lead for an established client in the Dallas area. This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable, hands-on warehouse professional who enjoys leading others, staying organized, and ensuring daily receiving operations run efficiently.

Our client is looking for someone who can take ownership of the receiving process, lead by example, and demonstrate the initiative and leadership skills needed to grow within the organization.

This position offers the potential for advancement into a Warehouse Supervisor role for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily warehouse receiving activities.

• Assist with unloading, inspecting, and verifying incoming shipments.

• Ensure incoming products are accurately counted, documented, and properly stored.

• Review purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving documentation for accuracy.

• Identify and resolve shipment discrepancies, shortages, and damaged merchandise.

• Provide daily direction and support to receiving team members.

• Maintain organized receiving and inventory areas.

• Work closely with warehouse management to ensure efficient workflow.

• Promote workplace safety, accuracy, and productivity.

• Assist with inventory control and other warehouse operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse receiving or shipping/receiving experience.

• Prior experience as a Warehouse Lead, Receiving Lead, or similar leadership position preferred.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

• Experience with inventory systems, scanners, and warehouse documentation preferred.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently while supporting a team.

• Dependable, punctual, and willing to take initiative.

• A hands-on leadership style and willingness to assist wherever needed.
