Job Title:        Receiving Supervisor

Department:  Purchasing

Reports To:    Director of Purchasing

Status:            Full-Time, Year-round

Pay:                $25 Hourly

Job Summary:The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily receiving operations, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all inbound shipments, and maintaining a well-organized inventory. This role requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills, team leadership, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate product counts and proper documentation for all incoming shipments.
  • Maintain a systematic inventory process to streamline operations.
  • Supervise and train receiving clerks to foster a productive, efficient, and safe work environment.
  • Monitor team performance and provide coaching to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality control procedures.
  • Operate and oversee the safe use of forklifts and other equipment.
  • Identify and resolve any issues related to inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or delivery delays.
  • Implement improvements to optimize receiving processes.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Experience with quality control and inventory management.
  • Forklift Certification (required).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead as needed to handle inventory and equipment.
  • Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including warehouse settings with fluctuating temperatures.
  • Visual and auditory ability to operate machinery safely, including forklifts.

Pay range and compensation package

  • $25.00 per hour
